Contemporary Christian synth pop chemical chemical group Joy Electric is the inspiration of Orange County, CA, native Ronnie Martin, erstwhile of Rainbow Rider and Dance House Children (which also featured his comrade, Jason Martin, of Starflyer 59).
Originally conceived as a solo design for Martin, Joy Electric featured spirited pop songs with religious and capricious lyrics lay out to gratifying synthesiser melodies. The group debuted with 1994's
Tonal pattern on Tooth & Nail Records, unitary of the prime minister main Christian record labels, and home to Christian indie stone bands Velour century and MxPx.
